Antbirds are one of the largest, most diverse groups of birds in the New World, with more than 270 species occupying a wide range of habitats in the vast Neotropical region between northern Mexico and north-central Argentina. Their whistles, croaks, chatters, caws, hoots, rasps, and rattles ring from the leaf litter of the forest floor to the dense green canopy above. This amazing vocal diversity, combined with the birds' secretive nature, means that recognizing each species by voice is a must. This three-CD set features the songs of nearly all currently recognized antbird species.
