The rain forests of the Amazon basin host the widest diversity of birds
of any place on earth. "Voices of Amazonian Birds" features 99 bird
species (on each disc for a total of 297 species) found in the lowland
rain forests of the western Amazon basin.
The geographic area covered by this disk is from southern Peru
(departments of Ucayali, Cuzco, Madre de Dios and Puno) into northern
Bolivia (departments of Pando, La Paz, and Beni). The distributions of
many of these species extend beyond this area, however, so the disk
will prove useful as well in adjacent areas
Because the distribution of many of these species extends beyond this
region, this guide will prove useful in adjacent areas as well. "Voices
of Amazonian Birds" was designed for all users - birders,
ornithologists, and naturalists from many fields.
